EFCC declares Sanwo-Olu’s ally wanted

The tactical move to whittle down the influence of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos Politics of 2027, is becoming glaring as one of his known Associates, Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Businesswoman and Lagos Socialite, Achimugu according to a statement this Friday by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, is wanted over allegations of money laundering and investment fraud.

The anti graft agency, therefore, urged anyone with useful information about her whereabouts to contact the Commission.

The statement read: “The public is hereby notified that Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, whose photograph appears above is wanted by the EFCC in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering.”

Unconfirmed reports have it that Achimugu’s name had previously surfaced in reports involving Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Governor Sanwo-Olu was said to have traveled on January 24, allegedly to attend Ms. Achimugu’s 50th birthday celebration in Grenada, a Caribbean island.
