His Excellency, The Federal Deputy Speaker At 54!

Chronological coincidences are divinely designed. They do not just happen.

That the Member representing Bende Federal Constituency and Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, His Excellency, The Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, CON, was born on the fifth day of the fifth month is of great significance in cosmology. It speaks volumes. No wonder his rise in different sectors of life has been astronomical.

At 54, while many of his age mates are groping in the dark, The Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, CON, has, in every segment of life, registered and unmistakably announced his presence in the map of who is who in Nigeria.

At 54, Ben has proved himself an erudite Lawyer and a quintessential Legislator. Ben has, without stoking any fire of self destructive controversy, directed the attention of the Nigerian State and Stakeholders to the deplorable plight of his long marginalized Igbo Nation. He has, no doubt, proved himself a silent achiever, by building bridges across different ethnic configurations.

While most political office holders restrict and limit their sense of altruism only to individuals from their immediate constituencies or geo-political zones, Ben has taught an entirely different lesson on that. He assists people irrespective of where they hail from.

He has done well at 54. Yet, there is an enormous challenge before him. He has to work tirelessly to unite Leaders and Members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State. Once he does that, 2027 will be a Goalooooo!

Thank God, he started addressing that challenge, and by God’s grace, that decisive Goal will be certain.
