In their bid to ensure the reelection of the state governor Dr. Alex Otti ,The Executives of Abía State Traditional Rulers Council , have embark on a tour of local government Areas to campaign for the need for all eligible. voters at the grassroot to participate actively in the on going voters registration exercise to enable them re _elect the state governor Dr. Alex Otti for a second tenure.

Speaking at Isiala Oboro, Ikwuano LGA ,on Thursday the 30th of April 2026, the Chairman Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Dr Linus Nto Mbah called for mass mobilisation of eligible voters from the grassroots to register and obtain their permanent voters card (PVCs) in order to participate in the forthcoming general elections in 2027 .
Eze Nto Mbah noted that electoral supports are not enough without voters card . He urged traditional rulers to mobilize their subjects to register and obtain their PVCs.
The Monarch said the call has become necessary especially as the 2027 general election is fast approaching, emphasising the need for Abians and residents alike to upscale their number in the INECs Voters register book .

to enable him consolidate on his good works
speaking, the 3rd Deputy Chairman Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu maintained that without PVC, political support is only verbal.
He noted that PVC is the only power one has to validate his support.
Eze Ukaegbu reiterated that the Governor has done well to earn himself an undisputable second term, adding that those who did not do well during their tenure got second term, and queried why Gov Otti would not get his own second tenure
In his response on behalf of traditional rulers in Ikwuano, King Larry Agwu thanked the chairman of the traditional rulers Council Eze Nto Mbah and his team for the visit, promising that their message would be taken down to their subjects.
King Agwu stressed that Governor Alex Otti remains the only elected official in Abia state to have performed creditably well and that his performance has automatically granted him another tenure.
He called on Ikwuano indigenes to obtain their PVCs and vote for Dr Alex Otti and vote out those who have failed to use their mandate well.
On his part on behalf of President generals of Ikwuano , Hon. Ohambele Ifeanyi while thanking the royal team for the sensitisation tour, pledged to take their message to his people.
The Chairman of Umuahia North Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Innocent Nwaigwe also applauded the team for the visit and thanked the governor for his numerous
accomplishments in office.
He pledged on behalf of other traditional rulers in Umuahia North to mobilise their people for INEC Voters register action exercise. He called for sustained support for Gov Otti’s second term bid.
Others who spoke include a youth leader Emmanuel Ibegbulam who promised to do the needful by ensuring that people not only register and obtain their PVC but also vote Governor Alex Otti come 2027.
