President Federation Cup: Ogenyi laments Wikki Tourists ouster 

Wikki Tourists head coach, Evans Ogenyi has expressed disappointment with his team’s ouster from the President Federation Cup.

The Bauchi Elephants were eliminated from Nigeria’s oldest football competition following a 3-1 defeat to El-kanemi Warriors in their semi-final encounter at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina on Wednesday night.

El-kanemi Warriors scored three goals in the first half to establish a comfortable lead before the interval.

Imamu Bala Magaji reduced the deficit for Wikki Tourists from the penalty spot after the break.

Ogenyi said his players gave their best to qualify for the final of the competition.

“The result is disappointing because it has brought an end to our campaign in the competition,” Ogenyi told the club’s media.

“We did our best to win and qualify for the final, but God has destined that this is how far we can go.”
