Premiership Giants, Manchester United have announced the appointment of Ruben Amorim as the new Head coach.

Amorim who is the current Helmsman at Sporting Lisbon will move to Old Trafford on 11 November and his contract will run till June 2027.

The Red Devils presently have their Former striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, in charge on an interim basis after Erik ten Hag was sacked on Monday and will remain in the position for the club’s next three fixtures.

Amorim’s first test as the Boss in Manchester United dugout will be on 24 November against newly promoted premiership side Ipswich Town.

Manchester United’s Europa League game against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt on 28 November, will be Amorim’,s first home match.

The 39 – year- old Portuguese is the sixth permanent United Manager since the exit of Sir Alex Ferguson who retired in 2013 after 26 – year reign.
