Gov Fubara Expresses Joy Over Completion Of Agba-Ndiele Bridge, Pledged To Complete Link Road Soon

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed satisfaction over the completion of the Agba-Ndele Bridge, which connects Abua and Emohua Local Government Areas.

Governor Fubara who made his feelings known on Friday while inspecting the newly completed bridge recalled with nostalgia monitoring the project last year.

“I am really happy that today, you can see for yourself that the bridge is fully completed,” he said.

He pointed out that the full benefits of the project would be realized once the remaining 14 kilometers of the Ndele – Omofor – Agba- Ndele road is completed.

“The beauty of this job will be appreciated more when the other 14 kilometers are done. But so far, I want to commend the contractor, Setraco, for a good job,” he added.

To this end, Governor Fubara announced that he would delay the official inauguration of the bridge until the link road is fully ready.

“So far, I feel happy that we are doing our best to improve on what we met in government,” the governor said, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development.

The governor accompanied on the inspection by the new Commissioner for Works, Prof Temple Nwofor praised the contractor’s commitment and professionalism, noting their ability to deliver quality work on schedule.

Conducting the Governor round the project, the Contractor, Setraco Nigeria Limited, assured that the remaining section of the road will be completed before the end of May.
