Gov Uzodinma sacks Attorney General

The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has approved the immediate removal of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, C.O.C. Akaolisa.

A release endorsed by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Chief Declan Emelumba, directed Justice Akaolisa to immediately hand over all government properties and official documents in his possession to the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice.

No reason was given in the statement for the action taken by the Governor.
