Governor Fubara receives Kudos Nigerian Air Force For Boosting Security Infrastructure

Nigeria’s 23rd Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has appreciated the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for his strong support to the Nigerian Air Force and the security architecture of the state.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Governor on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Government House, Port Harcourt, Air Marshal Aneke thanked Governor Fubara for donating a helicopter to the 115 Special Operations Group of the Nigerian Air Force.

He further applauded the Rivers State Government for the rehabilitation of the NAF Port Harcourt Base runway and the construction of two blocks of 12×2 prototype accommodation for Air Force personnel, describing the gestures as significant contributions to strengthening security operations in the state and the wider Niger Delta.

The Chief of the Air Staff, who was accompanied by senior Air Force officers, further expressed optimism about deepening collaboration between the Nigerian Air Force and the Rivers State Government to enhance safety and stability in the region.

Responding, Governor Siminalayi Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies in the discharge of their duties.

“The Rivers State Government, by the special grace of God, will give you every support required to ensure that this genuine vision for a better society and a secure environment for Rivers State is achieved,” Fubara assured.

The Governor restated that the state’s partnership with the Nigerian Air Force remains strong and indispensable.
