Insecurity: Ohanaeze Youths DEMAND Southeast Lawmakers Arm Constituents with Guns, Security Gadgets
The Ohanaeze Youth Council has raised the alarm over the raging insecurity in the Southeast, issuing a fiery call on lawmakers of Igbo extraction to empower community youths with guns and modern security gadgets for urgent self-defense.
In a press release issued on Thursday, August 28, 2025, and made available to Jungle-Journalist.Com, the National President of the group, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, thundered that Nigeria is tottering on the edge of total collapse, and Ndigbo must act fast or face annihilation.
“Survival First, Laws Later!”
According to Igboayaka, with Fulani herdsmen, bandits, and terrorists ravaging communities daily, what the people need now is weapons for survival, not endless speeches or empty promises from politicians.
“Only the living can benefit from laws. If our people are slaughtered like chickens, what use is legislation? Ndigbo’s priority today is survival, not political rhetoric,” he declared.
Call to Action: Summon Your Lawmakers!
He charged community youth leaders across the Southeast to immediately summon their State Assembly members, House of Representatives members, and Senators—demanding a constituency security empowerment program that will put guns, ammunition, and security gadgets in the hands of community defense networks.
“Any legislator who ignores this burning demand will face the wrath of youth dissatisfaction,” Igboayaka warned, his voice heavy with urgency.
Governors Have Failed the People
The fiery youth leader blasted Southeast Governors for their incompetence and failure to protect lives and property. According to him, all security outfits floated by the Governors have collapsed because they were polluted by politics and selfish interests.
“Military operations like Python Dance and Udoka have failed woefully. Security is local—it must come from the people themselves. Our communities must rise and defend themselves, because the government has failed!” he thundered.
A Life-or-Death Constituency Project
Igboayaka insisted that there is no empowerment project more important in today’s Nigeria than arming the people for survival. He urged all Southeast legislators to divert their December 2025 empowerment programs into providing guns, ammunition, and security gadgets for their constituents.
“Community stakeholders, youth leaders, and town union presidents must now take charge of security. The protection of Ndigbo is the number one project in this failed entity called Nigeria. Without life, there can be no empowerment, no politics, and no future,” he concluded.
