Lawyer, Client shot dead after court session in Anambra

Reports from Anambra State say a Lawyer identified as Barr Rolex Ifeanyi Iloakasia and his client whose name is yet to be ascertained, driving in a Toyota Corolla, were this Thursday shot dead by suspected assassins.

Barr Rolex Ifeanyi Iloakasia, the PG of Agulueri Autonomous Community and his client were said to have attended a court session in the morning but were killed moments later, after being trailed from the court by armed assassins operating on a motorbike.

Residents of Nanka who were thrown in shock after they witnessed a broad day murder told Hanto Daily News that the incident happened at a boundary between Nanka and Agulu, along the popular Amawbia-Agulu-Nanka-Ekwulobia-Uga-Akokwa road.

According to them, the assassins first shot and killed their target, the Lawyer before killing his client who tried to run away for safety and drove off the scene after horror incident.

The police are yet to issue an official statement concerning the incident.
Though the Anambra police command is yet to issue any statement on the matter, a reliable source says the Lawyer was handling “a very big case” for his client.
