The Honorable Member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Lucky Udoka Nweke Johnson, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, on the historic commissioning of the 46.3km Umuahia-Uzoakoli-Akara-Abiriba-Ohafia Road.
Describing the moment as a new dawn for infrastructural transformation in Abia State, Hon. Lucky Johnson expressed particular gratitude to the governor for the Isuikwuato axis of the project, which he noted has significantly improved the quality of life of his constituents.
According to the lawmaker, the road project, which cuts across multiple local governments, is not just a piece of infrastructure but a symbol of great hope, economic revival, and long-awaited development for the people of Isuikwuato and beyond.
“For the first time in many years, the people of Isuikwuato can now commute with ease, transport their farm produce without fear of road collapse, and live without the stress of isolation. This is not just a road; it is a lifeline. Governor Alex Otti has once again proven that he is a leader with vision, capacity, and an undying love for the people,” Hon. Lucky declared.
He emphasized that the 46.3km reconstructed road, which was formally commissioned by the former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo, is already yielding immense benefits by boosting local commerce, reducing travel time, and reconnecting once-neglected communities in the hinterlands to the urban centers of the state.
The lawmaker noted that Governor Otti’s people-oriented projects and his unwavering commitment to good governance were the driving reasons why he decided to join him in his developmental journey — aligning politically and ideologically to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Abia State.
“I have seen his sincerity, I have witnessed the impact of his policies first-hand, and I am convinced beyond any doubt that Gov. Otti means well for Abians. That is why I have chosen to identify with him and be part of this boat that is steering Abia into greatness,” Hon. Lucky affirmed.
He called on the people of Isuikwuato and indeed all Abians to continue supporting Governor Otti’s administration, stressing that the journey to rebuild Abia is not just the governor’s alone but a collective mission for all well-meaning stakeholders in the state.
The 46.3km road, one of the longest and most strategic road projects in the state, was flagged off in 2024 and completed within the stipulated timeline. It connects Umuahia to Ohafia through Uzoakoli, Akara, Abiriba, and other economic hubs, thereby opening up vast opportunities for trade, social integration, and development.
Hon. Lucky concluded by assuring his constituents that he will remain a strong voice in the House of Assembly to attract more dividends of democracy, pledging to work closely with the Otti-led administration to deliver even greater results in Isuikwuato.
