Ude Oko Chukwu tasks couples on building happy home
Former deputy governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon Ude Oko Chukwu has said that marriage opens many doors of blessings and prosperity, where there is love and understanding.
Sir. Oko Chukwu, who spoke at the traditional wedding ceremony of former Miss Grace Jonah and Mr Akuma Orji Moses, held at German floor by Owerri Road, Amuzukwu Ibeku, Umuahia North local government, encouraged couples to make God the foundation of their marriages and allow love, peace and understanding to rule their homes.
He stated that foundation and virtues build happy homes and commended the couple for obeying the word of God and fulfilling societal responsibilities
Sir Oko Chukwu, who was the father of the day, disclosed that the groom was his direct cousin, which qualified him for the role bestowed on him.
The former number two citizen of the state commended the Amuzukwu community for breeding responsible daughters, which accounted for why Nkporo indigenes married from the area.
While praying for multiple prayers of blessings in areas of procreation and all-around prosperity, prayed that God will visit them with good health and money to train their children and that they will reap the fruit of their labour.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of his new wife, the groom ,Mr Akuma Orji Moses, thanked the immediate past deputy governor for gracing the occasion and others who equally attended and for their journey mercy
The ceremony featured cutting of the wedding cake and dance by the couple, attracted the presence of the wife of the immediate past Deputy Governor, Mrs Nnenna Oko Chukwu,former Commissioner for Boundary and Conflict Resolution,Chief Imo Obike Mascot, former ASOPADEC Commissioner, Mr. Yellow Ikpegbu, captain of industries and other distinguished personalities
