2026 Fathers’Day: Help Build a Nation Founded on Justice, Truth, Civic Responsibility – Oluebube Chukwu Charges Fathers

As Fathers are celebrated worldwide today (21/6/26), the Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process, Dr Oluebube A. Chukwu, has called on fathers across Abia State and Nigeria to rise to their God-given responsibilities as moral leaders, nation builders and defenders of justice as the country gradually prepares for the 2027 general elections.

Dr Chukwu in a goodwill message to mark the Day reminded them that as Nigeria approaches another democratic transition, fathers must not only nurture their homes but also help build a nation founded on truth, justice, discipline and civic responsibility.

Dr Chukwu noted that the burden of nation-building does not rest on political leaders alone, but also on responsible parents—especially fathers—who must instill values of honesty, hard work, patriotism and accountability in the younger generation.

The Due Process Boss therefore urged fathers to take active interest in the country’s democratic process by promoting peace, lawful civic engagement and responsible participation ahead of the 2027 polls.

According to him, fathers must serve as voices of reason in their communities and encourage their children and families to uphold democratic values and reject actions capable of undermining national peace and progress.

While commending fathers for their enduring role in holding families together in difficult times, he encouraged them not to relent in their duties as protectors, mentors and custodians of values that can help shape a better Nigeria.

He further noted that as the nation looks forward to another electoral cycle, the need for men of character to stand for truth, fairness and justice has become more urgent, adding that fathers have a unique role to play in inspiring a generation that believes in responsible leadership and active citizenship.

He congratulated fathers for their sacrifices, resilience and unwavering commitment to raising families despite the prevailing economic and social challenges facing the nation.

The Governor’s aide described fathers as critical pillars of the family and society, noting that their influence goes beyond providing for the home to shaping the moral direction of children and the larger society.

Chukwu prayed for strength, wisdom and divine guidance for fathers, while wishing them a happy Father’s Day celebration.
