Nothing Will Stop Me From Empowering My People – Hon Ogah

The Member Representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon Amobi Godwin Ogah has challenged Nigerians to reject those in political leadership that only remember them during the electioneering period.

Speaking on Friday, 26th June, 2026, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mgbelu Umunnekwu, Isuikwuato during a remarkable gathering of Christian youths under the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Isuikwuato Wing (YOWICAN), Hon Ogah said adopting such attitude would send a warning signal to politicians who believes that the paltry handouts given out during campaigns and voting would secure votes for them.

The National Assembly member described the theme for the event: “Youth Advocates for Good Governance… Our Votes Must Count,” as apt noted that until the people change their attitude to selfish politicians, nothing will stop the politicians from manipulating the Peoples’ psyche.

He attributed most the developmental challenges facing the people to greed among Leaders who are always there to amass wealth.

Hon Ogah traced the continued distractions form his political opponents to his decision to make his constituents feel good governance through impactful Empowerment programmes that have exposed the selfishness of the past occupiers.

He assured his constituents that the next Empowerment Programme to be held will be more comprehensive and impactful, stressing that he will keep empowering the people throughout his tenure, which he said will elapse in 2031.

“Their anger is that we have exposed them. We will not stop exposing them. We will show you that there is something in this leadership position. Power comes from God . No man gives power,” he stated.

The Lawmaker therefore charged participants to identify with Leaders of good conscience, pointing out that only such leaders could ensure good governance.

He described Governor Alex Otti as a leader with good conscience and made it clear that Abians are enjoy good governance as a result.

The gathering attracted the leadership of CAN that commended Hon Ogah who was the Special Guest of Honour at the event for his selfless leadership and quality representation.
