Abia Police Command Apprehends Suspect For Armed Robbery

The Abia state Police Command has arrested a , male, 22 year old male, Chidera Okorie of Obinolu Ngodo Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA.

A release endorsed by the Command’s spokesperson, Maureen Chinaka says the suspect was apprehended leveraging on actionable intelligence, on 05/07/2026, by the operatives of the Isuochi Divisional Police Headquarters.

According to the release, the suspect is known to be habitually robbing unsuspecting members of the public using a stainless lighter designed to resemble a pistol, thereby instilling fear in his victims and dispossessing them of their belongings.

The release hints that during his arrest, other related items were recovered from his possession.

It further disclosed that investigation is ongoing, assuring that the suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion.
