Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, renowned philanthropist and community leader, has applauded Catholic women across Nigeria for their exceptional faith, resilience, and contributions to family and society.

Speaking during the Catholic Women Organization’s 2026 Newsletter and Award Ceremony held at Mater Dei Cathedral, Dr. Anyaso described Catholic women as “a shining light of prayer, dedication, and selfless service,” noting that their daily sacrifices significantly strengthen families, bolster the Church, and advance national development.

His message of appreciation comes at a time when Catholic women’s organizations nationwide are spotlighting the vital role of women as key drivers of faith and community progress. Religious leaders at various events have consistently underscored the importance of walking and working by faith a theme that resonates deeply with Dr. Anyaso’s message.

Dr. Anyaso urged the women to remain steadfast in their spiritual journey and societal engagements, lauding their strength in the face of economic and social challenges.

“Your steadfastness in faith and unyielding service to humanity is a beacon of hope for our families and our nation,” he said.

Highlighting the broader impact of Catholic women, Church leaders at similar gatherings have reminded congregants of their indispensable roles as pillars of the family, the Church, and society, echoing the sentiment that the backbone of community resilience often lies in the faithful work of women.
Dr. Anyaso also offered prayers for divine blessings upon the women and encouraged them to continue with renewed vigor in the service of faith, family, and nation.

The ceremony featured a moment of generosity as Dr. Anyaso announced a ₦500,000 donation to support the Catholic Women Organization’s initiatives an act that drew warm applause and gratitude from attendees.
