CP Abia Receives Regular Course 8 Cadet Officers on Two-Month Attachment.
The Abia State Police Command has received nineteen (19) Regular Course 8 Cadet Officers from the Nigeria Police Academy for a two-month attachment aimed at exposing them to practical policing operations.
The cadet officers, all indigenes of Abia State, comprise seven (7) females and twelve (12) males. They were formally received on Wednesday, February 5, 2026, by the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, alongside members of the Command’s management team.
Addressing the cadets, CP Isa explained that the attachment is designed to acquaint them with the operational norms of conventional policing and to complement their academic training with hands-on experience.
He disclosed that the officers would be deployed to various Divisional Police Stations across the state, where they would be rotated through the four major departments of a division: the Counter, Administrative Office, Divisional Crime Branch (DCB), and the Motor Traffic Department (MTD).
The Commissioner of Police further stated that individual reports would be compiled on each cadet at the end of the attachment, stressing the need for discipline, professionalism, and good conduct throughout the period.
He cautioned the officers against any acts capable of bringing disrepute to the Command or the Nigeria Police Force, urging them to uphold the values and ethics instilled in them by the Academy.
CP Isa also encouraged the cadets to approach the attachment with humility and dedication, advising them to maximize the opportunity to learn the practical aspects of policing and to discharge their duties diligently and responsibly.
Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, Cadet ASP Precious Orji expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police for the warm reception.
She assured the Command of their commitment to maintaining high standards of conduct and to serving as worthy ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Academy throughout their attachment in Abia State.
