The failed attempt on Obinna Oriaku using Nwabueze Success Onyekachi.
In the last three days we have been inundated with calls from members of the public on the abduction of Onyekachi Nwabueze Success on the allegation of being responsible for the leakage of the transactions in Justice Ministry, though we were told they later moved to investigate his time in Abia state pensions board.
We are surprised that a Government that campaigned on Transparency will devote such time and energy to close and cripple the source of such documentations. Today Abians are threatened with legal action for saying their mind on industrial scale fraud going on under their New Abia.
Nwabueze is not an everyday friend though a brother but we sure he has not spoken to Mr Obinna Oriaku more than 3 times in the last 5 months . Linking him to such documents is just mere assumption. In any case , Mr Oriaku confirmed he stumbled on that news just like any other person. Obinna Oriaku has become their Nightmare.
1 On Pension fraud . Pay roll fraud has become very predominant in civil service even before the coming of Okezie administration in 2015. About the 19 sub treasuries were shut down and biometric, and automation of entire pensioners were concluded instead of the manual cash payment under the mango trees of those sub treasuries.
During the first biometric capturing of pensioners in 2015, they caught a man who was never a civil servant but who earns pensions. He was arrested and taken to central police Umuahia.
That fraud goes beyond pension even among MDA’s and no one person engages in that fraud There is the collaboration of the pay roll officer, the MDA staff , the state audit staff .
2 While we wait for formal response from Nwabueze, We will like to tell those who are already mastubating that they have at least found something to silence Oriaku to rejoice no more as they failed just like those before them.
Obinna Oriaku in a bid to practice what he preached stopped what is termed legitimate means of making money while in Government and will not engage in such shameful act of encouraging fraud in a system he paid the prize for standing out that things must be done the right way .
Beyond the fact that he served Pro bono for the 4 years ( Abia state government did not pay Oriaku a kobo as salary as first bank continued to pay his salary. He reduced the cost of going to Abuja for FAAC meeting from 1.6m to 500k for the four years and immediately he left it was jacked back to N1.6m by the fellow that took over from me. ( Am sure he was a fool here)
He paid his driver, the police orderly from his personal money even the fueling of his cars for the 4 years . He never took fuel from the dump inside government house even during scarcity. This also includes hotel accommodation for his team anytime he was invited to Aba for a meeting which was a routine. ( Let them search their files to counter these claims)
It is instinctive to note that above selfless service characteristerized or defined about 80%of entire executive council from 2015 to end point of 2017 including the Governor.
We wonder how any responsible person will ever think Obinna Oriaku will condescend so low as to sharing pension money .
Nwabueze was not the head of Abia state pensions board , there is a Director who heads that unit as Executive secretary. He also was there even after Oriaku left until about 2 years ago..Why not also link his time to the last Commissioner.
Today , Chief Charity Ukonu who worked with Oriaku was recalled from retirement to help in fishing out ghost pensioners. She is busy going with her team zone by zone weeding off fake pensioners, can we line up all the Commissioners of finance including this current one as responsible.
Obinna Oriaku was intentional and deliberate about his stewardship and that is why he can stand tall and challenge both past and this present government on poor governance issues .
Let this present government change as what we ordered is not what is being served.
