Patricklingo Pharmaceuticals Donates Medicines to Imo Police, Conducts Medical Outreach
Patricklingo Pharmaceuticals has carried out a medical outreach and donated essential medicines to the Imo State Police Command as part of efforts to support the health and wellbeing of frontline security personnel.
The outreach, held on Wednesday at the Police Command headquarters in Owerri, was designed to provide healthcare support to officers whose demanding duties often limit their ability to prioritize personal health.
Chief Executive Officer of the company, Patrick Onwuelingo, said the initiative was informed by growing health concerns among police officers. Citing a 2025 survey published in the Nigerian Health Journal, which reported that about 49.7 percent of officers were hypertensive, linking the condition to occupational stress and exposure to insecurity as first responders.
Usually, when people see a police uniform in Nigeria, their first instinct is to think about “law and order” or “security.” But when I look at them, I don’t just see uniforms. I see fathers, brothers, mothers, and sisters who risk their lives everyday so that the rest of us can be safe”.
“We know the reality of the job you do. It is physically exhausting, mentally draining, and many have lost their lives doing this job. You spend so much time looking after the safety of the public that, sometimes, your own health takes a backseat”.
Onwuelingo explained that beyond their roles in maintaining law and order, police officers face significant physical and mental challenges and deserve greater attention to their wellbeing.
“Healthcare should not be a luxury, especially for those who dedicate their lives to public safety. The medicines we are donating are carefully selected to address common health needs, and we hope they will make a meaningful difference in the lives of officers within this command”.
He added that the company is committed to making meaningful community impact beyond the production and distribution of pharmaceuticals, expressing hope that the outreach would mark the beginning of sustained collaboration with the police and other public institutions.

The CEO also commended the Commissioner of Police in the state, Audu Garba Bosso, for his leadership and dedication, while appreciating officers for their service and sacrifice.
Receiving the donation, the Commissioner of Police, Audu Bosso, thanked Patricklingo Pharmaceuticals for the gesture, describing the health of officers as vital to maintaining an effective and responsive police force.
He noted that such partnerships between private organizations and public institutions play a crucial role in promoting community wellbeing and supporting those tasked with safeguarding lives and property.
