VC MOUAU Directs Immediate Refund Of NELFUND Fees To Eligible Students

The Vice Chancellor Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Prof. Ursula Ngozi Akanwa has directed the immediate refund of
Students who paid their school fees before receiving the Federal Government’s Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) .

Prof. Akanwa who announced this during the inauguration of the newly elected Students’ Union Government (SUG), disclosed that she had directed the University’s Bursar to commence the refund process for affected students.

The Vice Chancellor said the decision was to ensure that the affected students were not denied the benefit of the scheme.

She further urged students to commence course registration immediately after resuming for the 2026/2027 academic session, pointing out that early registration would help the University begin academic activities without unnecessary delays.

Prof Akanwa charged the new SUG executives to provide responsible leadership and work with the University Management to promote peace and the welfare of students.
